Food Allergy Counseling

All children and their families navigating the challenges of food allergies deserve to find the right approach for them.

Finding the right tools to balance anxiety, stress, and food allergies can be difficult.

We can help.

What is Food Allergy Counseling?

Food allergy counseling can help individuals who are having difficulty navigating the social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of managing a food allergy. Managing food allergies is unique and individual for each person and family, and it can be helpful to develop practical strategies that can help them navigate their allergies. Allergy counseling can be very helpful for children, individuals, and parents who are navigating a new diagnosis, are going through a stage of life transition, or after an allergic reaction.

Food allergy counseling does not provide medical advice, but works in collaboration with your allergist and your own individual allergy action plan to help you navigate allergies if they are impacting your quality of life. Food allergy counseling is offered at Creative Family Counseling by Katy Anderson, Marriage & Family Therapy Associate. Food allergy can help to provide support to individuals, parents, and families who need help managing their food allergies.
