Individual Therapy
Everyone deserves a safe place to heal and recover from the pain of the world.
If your pain has become overwhelming, you are not alone.
We can help.
What is Individual Therapy?
Whether the overwhelm from a stressful situation has become too much or the symptoms of a mental health disorder are impacting your daily life, individual therapy is a place where you can process through your feelings and thoughts and figure out how to move forward. It is our aim to provide you a space for healing, recovery, hope and tools to use in your every day life. Because therapy for children and teens is unique, the Individual Therapy described here is typically offered for those who are 18 years old and older at Creative Family Counseling.

Outcomes of Individual Therapy:
Your goals for therapy will be established at the first meeting with your therapist at Creative Family Counseling, and every session after that will be tailored to meet that goal as soon as possible. At Creative Family Counseling, we value your time, energy and motivations for feeling better, and it is our aim to help facilitate that change with an efficient use of our time together.
We feel very strongly at Creative Family Counseling that our therapists are not the experts on your life. You are. We are simply a resource for you on your journey. We feel honored to be a part of your journey of uncovering your personal strengths, experiencing healing, and finding creative solutions to your problems.
There is Hope.
Everyone deserves a safe place to heal and recover from the pain of the world. Therapists at Creative Family Counseling can provide a safe space, be a sounding board, help you develop healthy tools to use to manage stressors and identify your hidden strengths. Albert Einstein was quoted, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Therapy can help you keep moving forward, even when you feel you’ve lost your balance. Your therapist can discover with you how to regain balance in your life.
We Use Proven Techniques.
Creative Family Counseling has invested in growing a team of clinicians with diverse training and backgrounds. With this diverse clinical team, we can offer a wide array of services to clients, tailoring our sessions to meet individual needs and preferences of each client. We implement many evidence-based practices into our work with clients, such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Reiki Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapies, and use of Mindfulness techniques to just name a few.
