Halie Herrin, Doctoral Student Intern

Halie is a doctoral practicum student providing psychological assessment services at Creative Family Counseling. She has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice, and she has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in clinical psychology. She is currently completing her 5th and final year of graduate studies at Spalding University. After completing her internship and her dissertation, she will earn a PsyD (Doctor of Psychology)!

Halie will be offering assessments for the following concerns for clients of all ages at Creative Family Counseling:

  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum and/or Neurodivergence
  • Giftedness and/or Learning Disabilities
  • Diagnostic Clarification for emotional or behavioral concerns

Halie is supervised by Dr. Kristeena G. Jenkins of Spalding Univeristy who holds a special interest in autism assessment and providing support for parents and caregivers. For some assessments, Dr. Jenkins will be present with Halie for the administration of formal tests. To learn more about Dr. Jenkins, click here.

Halie loves working with children and adolescents doing psychological assessment work, and she has also worked with individuals across the lifespan providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment services in previous roles. She has worked in many different clinical settings throughout her graduate training: inpatient psychiatric hospital, residential boy’s home, adult male prison (minimum security), community mental health, private practice, and several primary care facilities. Halie is passionate about helping others and goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients receive the best care possible. She looks forward to meeting you soon!
