I strive to provide a welcoming environment that is adaptable to my clients’ needs and interests.

I am a Licensed Professional Art Therapist who loves utilizing art to communicate and navigate through life’s challenges.  It is important to me to provide my clients with tools to build the proper toolbox they require to meet their goals and achieve their highest potential. My experience of working in early childhood education has opened my eyes to the impact of early intervention. My time working in residential and outpatient care settings has strengthened my drive to help children, adolescents and families identify their strengths. 

Art has presented its healing properties throughout my life in various forms; I am passionate in sharing its therapeutic qualities.

My journey has driven me to acquire a Bachelor’s in Art and Psychology and a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville. Throughout my master’s program I gained experience in outpatient and residential settings.

I work with children and adults facing a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to:

• depression,
• bipolar,
• anxiety,
• challenging behavioral issues,
• outbursts and tantrums, and
• impulse control issues

I enjoy showing and sharing art’s ability to heal. I’d be honored to guide you and your family through that experience.

***Shelby works with children 2+, teens, families, and young adults and is offering in person availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our Lyndon Campus.  Shelby also offers telehealth availability on Wednesdays for teens and young adults. Shelby accepts payment through HSA/FSA/HRA cards, cash, or check. Shelby can also provide Out of Network Reimbursement forms for those with OON Benefits and has a limited number of sliding scale openings per month. Typical 45-minute appointments with Shelby are a $130 investment per session following the Initial Intake, which costs $180 and includes the development and planning of new clients’ treatment plans.***
